Description:
Welcome to Providence Harbour, an exclusive 65-home community offering accessible luxury. The all-brick two-story and ranch style homes are nestled on half-acre lots in this quiet neighborhood close to the historic McDonough Square. If your dream Saturday includes cheering on your favorite team, enhance your game-day experience with a beautiful outdoor living area featuring abundant room for your grilling needs and options for covered entertainment space. Sporting strollable sidewalks and Union Grove schools, Providence Harbour is a perfect family-friendly community.
McDonough was founded in 1823 and served as a relay station on the New York to New Orleans stagecoach line and an important stop on the Southern Railway from Atlanta to Florida. The county courthouse and historic jail building are on the north side of the square near the Welcome Center located in a historically maintained 1920’s Standard Oil service station.
Henry County, comfortably south of Atlanta, is only a short 30-minute drive down I-75 from the city and is a great place to live, work, play and raise a family. Henry County is the fastest growing county in Georgia and the 6th fastest in the nation. There is a unique mixture of southern hospitality along with all the activities of a dynamic city.
Created by the State Legislature in 1821, Henry County remained a rural farm community for the next 150 years. However, I-75 opened in 1969, providing a short commute to the bustle of Atlanta. Today, Ford Parts, Nestle USA, Whirlpool and BellSouth Services all have major distribution centers here. With these and other industries located in the county, the population is growing rapidly. In the last ten years, the population of Henry County has more than doubled and is expected to continue increasing.
Providence Harbour’s close proximity to Eagles Landing Parkway allows easy access to restaurants, shopping plazas, a Tom Fazio-designed golf course and so much more. If that isn’t enough, I-75 is right there, allowing shoppers to journey to Tanger Outlet in Locust Grove with more than 70 stores and the best cookies south of Atlanta. The county is host to two NASCAR races each year, bringing in 140,000 racing fans.
